As students are getting ready to return to college, fraudsters are ready to take advantage or trick students to part with their hard earned money. Here are some key tips on how you can protect yourself against scams of this kind.

Research

Google Google Google – Use online maps to double-check that the property being advertised actually exists and is at the stated address.

Always

Check

The key fits the lock – a very simple test and don’t be embarrassed if you have been scammed – Report it to your local Garda immediately.
